statgg ("the site") publishes this privacy policy under Article 30 of Korea's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) to explain how personal data is handled and how concerns are resolved.
1. What we collect, and how
The site collects the following during signup and when you send feedback. We never ask for your name, phone number, birthdate, address, or payment details.
- ·Email signup: your email address and an authentication account identifier. Passwords are stored one-way hashed by our authentication processor (Supabase) and cannot be read by the site's operator.
- ·Social sign-in (Google, Kakao): the account identifier and email address supplied by that provider.
- ·Favorites: your account identifier plus player and team codes.
- ·Feedback: your message, and a reply-to email address only if you choose to enter one.
- ·Access logs, cookies and device information may be generated automatically while you use the service.
2. Why we process it
Personal data is used only for the purposes below. If a purpose changes, we will ask for consent first.
- ·Identifying members, keeping you signed in, and preventing abuse.
- ·Providing account-linked personalisation such as favorites.
- ·Replying to questions and error reports, and improving the service.
- ·Aggregate, non-identifying usage statistics used to improve quality.
3. Retention and destruction
Data is kept for the periods below and destroyed without delay once the period ends or the purpose is fulfilled. Electronic records are deleted irrecoverably.
- ·Account data and favorites: deleted immediately when you close your account, which you can do yourself from the account page.
- ·Feedback messages: kept for one year from receipt, then deleted (to track recurring reports and improve the service).
- ·Where a law requires longer retention, that data is stored separately for the required period.
4. Processors
The site entrusts the following providers with parts of its processing. Each is contractually bound to handle personal data securely.
- ·Supabase Inc. — authentication and storage of account, favorites and feedback data.
- ·Vercel Inc. — website hosting and request handling, plus anonymous traffic analytics (Vercel Analytics).
- ·Google LLC and Kakao Corp. — authentication, only if you choose social sign-in.
- ·NAVER Corp. — news search results (no personal data of yours is sent).
5. Overseas transfer
These processors may operate servers outside Korea, in which case personal data is transferred overseas. The items transferred are those listed in section 1; the purpose and retention periods are those in sections 2 and 3. You may refuse the transfer, in which case sign-in features such as favorites are unavailable — most of the site (records, standings, schedules) works without an account.
- ·Recipients: Supabase Inc. (United States) and Vercel Inc. (United States).
- ·Method: transmitted over the network in the course of providing the service.
6. Your rights and how to exercise them
You may exercise the rights below at any time — directly from the account page, or by contacting us via the feedback page or the privacy officer listed below. We act on requests without delay.
- ·Access — review what is stored about you on the account page.
- ·Correction — change your email or password directly on the account page.
- ·Deletion and withdrawal of consent — closing your account from the account page deletes it and your favorites immediately.
- ·Suspension of processing.
7. Children under 14
The site does not accept signups from children under 14. Signup requires confirming you are 14 or older, and if we learn that a child under 14 registered without a legal guardian's consent we destroy that data without delay. Kids mode works without an account, collects no personal data, and stores only on-device preferences.
8. Cookies and on-device storage
The site uses the storage below to keep you signed in and remember preferences. You may block it in your browser, but some features — staying signed in, for example — will then be limited.
- ·Session cookies — keep you signed in; cleared when you sign out.
- ·Language cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) — remembers whether you chose Korean or English.
- ·localStorage — device-level view preferences such as pre-login favorites, news team filters and Kids mode. Favorites may be merged into your account when you sign in.
- ·Vercel Analytics — cookieless, anonymous page-view counts that do not identify individuals.
9. Security measures
The site encrypts data in transit (HTTPS), applies least-privilege database access with row-level security (RLS), and gates operator tooling behind access control.
10. Privacy officer
